Your photos and the finished images you export are yours. We cannot reach them and claim no rights to them. The app itself belongs to Daylumen, and the map data comes from OpenStreetMap and other public sources under their own licenses.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Daylumen (“we”) about your use of GeoZine (“the app”). By downloading, installing or using the app, you accept these terms.
If you get the app through the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with these terms, whichever is more favorable to you prevails.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the app’s source code; remove or obscure copyright notices in the app; or rent, lend, resell or sublicense the app or any part of it.
3. Your content is yours
Your photos, and the finished images you export with the app, are entirely yours. They are stored only on your device. We run no server that holds them, so we can neither access them nor claim any right to them. You are free to save, share and use the images commercially, with no need to ask us and no need to credit us.
4. Copyright in the app and third-party data
The app’s software, interface and visual design belong to Daylumen. “GeoZine,” “纬图” and the app icon are our marks.
The map in a finished image uses the data below. Please observe each attribution requirement when you publish:
- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the ODbL; vector tiles are provided by OpenFreeMap.
- Elevation data comes from the AWS Open Data set Terrain Tiles, which aggregates several public sources.
- The Chinese typeface inside the app is a subset of Source Han Serif (renamed GeoZine Serif SC), licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The full license is in the app’s Settings.
5. Data and backups
The app has no accounts and uses no cloud storage. Deleting the app deletes all local data inside it. Images you saved to your library are yours to manage, so please keep your own backups.
6. Accuracy of the maps
Maps, contour lines, elevation and heading come from public data and from information carried by the photo. They are for display and keepsake only, are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete or current, and must not be used for navigation, surveying, rescue or any safety-related purpose.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the app. Where local law does not allow these limits, our liability is limited to the minimum the law permits.
8. Pricing and in-app purchases
If we offer paid content in the future, we will state the price and what it includes clearly inside the app, and a change in your purchase status will never take back images you have already exported.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, please stop using the app and delete it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not affect any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
